Richard Scott Quinn
November 17, 1964 - May 11, 2025
Richard Scott Quinn, age 60, of Clover, South Carolina, passed away peacefully on May 11, 2025, at Piedmont Medical Center following a brief illness.
Born on November 17, 1964, Scott was the beloved son of the late Donald Richard Quinn and Delois Jenkins Dolfi. A lifelong resident of Clover, he graduated from Clover High School and later retired from Mecklenburg Paint Company, where he dedicated many years of hard work.
Scott was the epitome of a Southern good ole boy. Who was genuine, loyal, and always ready with a smile or a helping hand. He had a passion for restoring vintage vehicles and cherished long motorcycle rides with close friends. Whether in a local garage, a roadside diner, or out on the open highway, Scott had a gift for making friends and brightening the day of those around him.
He was preceded in death by his parents; Donald Quinn & Delois J. Dolfi, Stepfather Thomas Dolfi, his sister, Marie Giles; and his beloved wife, Debra McMillen Quinn-the love of his life. Their bond was one of true devotion, and Scott carried her memory with him every day.
Scott is survived by his sister, Renee Lanier (Mark); his nephew, Chris Lanier (Geniey), his nieces, Megan Lanier, Rachelle Giles, and Brittney Giles. He also leaves behind his faithful dog and constant companion, Shayla, who brought him endless joy and comfort.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday, May 27, 2025, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Greene Funeral Service, 1503 South York Road, Gastonia, NC. Scott's interment will be private.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or to a charity of your choice in Scott's honor.
Scott's warmth, laughter, and love for life will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who were fortunate enough to know him.
