Richard Ramirez Jr., 72, of Port Saint Lucie, Florida, passed away peacefully on October 5, 2025. Born in Brooklyn, New York, his home was Port Saint Lucie for many years.

Before his retirement, Richard worked as a skilled car painter. In his free time, he enjoyed playing computer games and cheering passionately for his Miami Dolphins.

He cherished his family deeply. His grandchildren-Julian, Brielle, and Sophia-were especially important to him and brought him immense joy and pride.

Richard is survived by his children, Richard Ramirez III and Erica Ramos, and his son-in-law, Steve Ramos. He is also survived by his sisters Elaine Ramirez, Susan Mills, and Nancy Gross, as well as many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Richard and Lucy Ramirez, his sister Lucy Ramirez, and his brother Ed Ramirez.

Richard will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him. He will be remembered for his honesty, his sense of humor, and his ability to remind everyone to slow down, appreciate life, and stop and smell the roses.

A service to celebrate Richard's life will be held at Yates Funeral Home in Port Saint Lucie, located at 526 SW Port St. Lucie Blvd, Port Saint Lucie, FL 34952, on Saturday, October 11, at 1:00 p.m.
