Richard, "Roger" Wister Randolph, 63, of Narragansett, Rhode Island, passed away peacefully in the presence of his loved ones on March 4th, 2025.
Roger was born on August 8th, 1961 to Jane Campbell Hogg and Richard Norris Randolph in Providence, Rhode Island. He and his parents lived in New York City during his childhood, but in the early 1970s they moved permanently to their summer home in Rhode Island nestled in the heart of the Narragansett Pier. After graduating from Narragansett High School in 1978, Roger began working as a cabinetmaker and studied engineering at CCRI.
A carpenter by trade, Roger was highly regarded in the local woodworking industry for his talent and craft. In 1994, Roger married Patti Jayne Focht, with whom he welcomed a baby daughter, Hannah, in 1997. Around this time, Roger started his carpentry and contracting business, Counter Culture. Roger was a devoted husband, father, and breadwinner. When not working or spending time with family and friends, Roger was a golfer, billiards player, and lifelong New York Jets fan.
Roger was preceded in death by his parents, Jane and Richard, and Aunt Dorothy, "Aunt Dots." He is survived by his friend and former wife Patti Randolph, his partner Maureen O'Neil Golding, his stepdaughter Jamie Chapman, and his beloved daughter Hannah Jane Randolph.
Calling hours for Roger will be held on Monday, March 24, 2025 from 10 AM to 12 PM in the Avery-Storti Funeral Home, 88 Columbia St., Wakefield, followed by a funeral home service at 12 PM. Burial will follow at New Fernwood Cemetery, Kingston.
