Richard B. Reardon, a cherished family man and esteemed professional, passed away peacefully on August 2, 2025, at the age of 93 in Hingham, MA. He was born on March 29, 1932, in Worcester, MA, to the late Marguerite and Bernard Reardon.
Dick's commitment to family was evident in his devoted marriage of 52 years to his loving wife, Peggy Reardon of Weymouth. Dick was a proud father to Terry Brezniak and her husband Lou, Debbie Craig and her husband Scott, Barbara Mackowiak, Patti Barbosa and her husband Tony, Donald Reardon, and Mary Maguire and her husband Mark. He was predeceased by his daughter Tammy Barrett.
In addition to his immediate family, Dick was the brother of Cynthia Benedict and the late Shirley and Donald Reardon. His legacy continues through his 17 grandchildren and many great-grandchildren. Dick's extended family of nieces and nephews also held a special place in his life.
Dick's professional life was marked by a remarkable 36-year tenure as a District Manager at New England Telephone. His leadership and vision were instrumental in the company's growth and success. Upon retirement, Dick's entrepreneurial spirit led him to establish Bridgewater Communications changed to Reardon Communications run by his son Donald. He dedicated 22 years to his business, serving clients with the same integrity and excellence that defined his career.
Beyond his professional achievements, Dick was a man of many interests. His garden was a place of solace and joy, where he nurtured plants with the same care he gave to his relationships. An avid reader, he found comfort and adventure within the pages of countless books. His passion for the New England Patriots was matched only by his love for quiet, humble moments spent with family and friends.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend a funeral service for Dick on Saturday 8/9/2025 at 10 AM in Stonehill College Chapel, 320 Washington Street, Easton, MA 02357. In lieu of flowers, donations to be made to Pat Roche Hospice Home, 86 Turkey Hill Ln. Hingham, MA 02043.
