I remember my big brother in so many ways... I remember him doing his paper route so he could earn a bike. I remember him having many pets: pirana fish, Iguanas, chameleons....I remember him playing Flight of the Bumble Bee for his piano recital and his fingers flying.... I remember my brother being called Richie by everyone as a kid... I remember him on the Warren High swim team and wearing his letter jacket... I remember my brother as a son whose parents were so proud, becoming a husband and a dad... Most importantly a strong Christian man... He was the best and know Jesus is taking care of him until we can all be with him. You are so loved and so missed Rich...

My first memory of Rich was back at MSU when we were roommates. We both were brought up in the Lutheran Church Missouri synod so had that in common. He was talking about his grandpa and said he wanted to be a carpenter like him. But had decided to get an engineering degree under the advice of his father who said get your degree first if you still want to be a carpenter you still can be. I also remember Domino's pizza on Sundays. 2 for 1 for 5 bucks. Medium size Rich and I would get the deal, but I could only eat half a pizza Rich had room, so he had a pizza and a half. The next day he had a pizza hangover. Those were great times.

How happy he was at his Bachelor party before he married Susan. He was beaming. Looking forward to married life with her. His Dad was also there and was just as happy for him as were we all. They played Cat Stevens many of his hits. I especially remember the morning has broken. And peace train.
