Beverly, MA - Richard P. Rennick, passed away unexpectedly at home on Monday, March 24, 2025. Son of the late Francis and Jean (Dube) Rennick, Richard was born in Salem and raised in Peabody. He graduated from Peabody High School in 1972, and later attended North Shore Community College. Rick was employed at Metro Swift Sprinkler for over 30 years, having retired in Fall of 2024. He was also well known on the North Shore as a Bartender, having worked at The Sword & Shield in Beverly, The Wardhurst in Peabody, and Romie's in Danvers, where he met his sweetheart, Terry.
Rick was an avid New England sports fan; all could hear his excitement as he watched the games on TV. However, golf was his true passion. He had been a member of Beverly Golf and Tennis for over 50 years, where he played in countless tournaments. In 1985, and again 30 years later in 2015, he won the Club Championship. When it came to playing partners, his frequent and favorite partner was his son Kyle. Weather was never an issue for Rick. Recovering from a January knee replacement, he eagerly returned to the links, completing 52 holes in his first weekend back. As recently as Sunday, he was one of a handful of golfers seen on the greens at the Club.
Richard is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 41 years, Theresa (Armstrong) Rennick; his son Kyle Rennick; his daughter Trisha Wendell and her husband Jesse; his beloved granddaughter Adelina, who knew him as her "Bampy"; his faithful dog, Maggie May; his two sisters, Debra Sigman and husband Ted, and Jeanne Arsenault and husband Ed; his two brothers, Ken Rennick and wife Gina, and Frank Rennick; sister in law Denise Moreschi; Uncle Jerry Rennick and wife Carol; Aunt Marge Rennick; many cousins, nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews; special friends Karena and Siena Mammola; as well as many treasured golf buddies. He was predeceased by his brother James Rennick.
His funeral services will be held Saturday, April 5, 2025 at 12 PM at the Campbell Funeral Home, 525 Cabot St., Beverly, MA. Visiting hours are the same day, prior to the service, from 11AM to 12PM. For those that wish, memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association in Richard's honor. Information, directions, condolences at www.CampbellFuneral.com.
