In Loving Memory of Richard "Rik" Rexroad
Richard "Rik" Rexroad, 63, of Starke, Florida, passed away on September 5, 2025, surrounded by his devoted wife, Becky. Born on June 23, 1962, he was the son of Sharon and Robert Rexroad.

Rik was an adventurous spirit, spending years as a long-haul trucker before becoming a Florida Road Ranger and later a mechanic, where he formed lasting friendships. Known for his playful antics and infectious laughter, he had a unique ability to uplift those around him.

At the heart of Rik's life was his profound love for his wife, Rebecca "Becky," and their cherished cats, especially his beloved companion, Mazi. He treasured the time spent with his nieces and nephews, creating lasting memories. Rik took great pride in introducing his nephew, Trystan, to the joys of metal detecting and basic mechanical skills. He delighted in beach adventures with his Payton and Christopher as they searched for seashells together. With Noah embracing their interests and creating joyful experiences together, including a memorable project with Flat Stanley that showcased their creativity.

Rik was proud of Connor's commitment to public service as a firefighter and EMT, reflecting their shared passion for helping others. He dedicated much of his time to researching family history, a pursuit he enjoyed with Becky. Together, they shared laughter and adventures, including a humorous prank involving decorating Debbie and Trey's house after their wedding with a ceiling fan of underwear.

Rik is preceded in death by his mother, Sharon Rexroad; brother-in-law, Raymond "Trey" Doncer; and grandparents-in-law, Harry and Virginia Wood. He is survived by his beloved wife, Becky Rexroad; father, Robert Rexroad; brothers Bob and Kenneth Rexroad; sister Keri Morville and her husband, Cody, along with their children Parker, Akira, and Grayson. He also leaves behind mother-in-law Harriet Evers; father-in-law Wayne Adams and his wife, Judy; sister-in-law Debbie Doncer; brother-in-law Chester Adams and his wife Kisha; and brother-in-law David Adams and his wife Laci. Additionally, he is survived by many nieces and nephews, including Payton and Tristen Shark, Christopher and Hunter Adams, Callie and Presley, Gwen and Abby Adams, Brandon and Jessica Adams, Connor and Savannah Adams, Noah Adams, Trystan Doncer, and Kayla Rexroad.

The family extends heartfelt gratitude to Rik's friends, including Brian Bacher, Monica Waxman, Nick and Michelle Hewitt, Donna Vance, Glenn Biggam, Melissa, Tom and Jimmy Barton and Emily Cosser for their support during his illness. Rik will be lovingly remembered for his adventurous spirit, ability to connect with others, and the laughter he brought into our lives.

Though he is no longer with us, his legacy of love and joy will forever inspire all who knew him. Rik was my partner, my home, and my heart; his spirit endures in our cherished memories.

Rik didn't follow the straight path in life; instead, he carved out his own, filling it with laughter, love, and unforgettable moments that will stay with us always.

His spirit lives on-in every engine that roars, every cat that curls up beside me, and every
precious memory we hold dear. Though he has departed from this world, the impact of his life
continues to shine brightly in our hearts.
