Richard Kyle Rhoades Sr, 87, passed away on Tuesday, December 2, 2025, at Wayne County Care Center in Wooster, Ohio. He was born in Akron, Ohio on May 13, 1938, and was the middle child.
After graduation from Akron Central High School, Richard went on to work and retire from BF Goodrich and also retired from Myers Pump.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Alex and Frances (Vick) Rhoades; wife Marcia (Long); brothers “Junior” and Jack, sisters Donna Speegle and Shirley Herringer; children Gary Rhoades, Missy Rhoades and Monica (Rhoades) Miller; and former wives Linda (Meidlinger), Linda (Neumann) and Ann Marie (“Leslie” Klever).
Richard is survived by his sister Carolyn (Rhoades) Moon; sons Rick Rhoades Jr and Marty Rhoades; a host of grandchildren and great grandchildren; and other relatives and friends.
There will be no calling hours or funeral at this time. Direct burial will be on December 11 at Hillside Memorial Park. Graveside services will be scheduled at a later date.
