Richard "Rick" Leslie Rhode

Richard "Rick" Leslie Rhode age 50 of Wautoma, WI passed away Friday, September 15, 2023, with his family by his side at ThedaCare Regional Medical Center, Neenah.  

Rick lived most of his life in Wautoma.  He graduated from Wautoma High School then went on to work as an independent contractor. He enjoyed hiking, biking, snowboarding and gardening. He spent endless hours working on the family farm and helped his mother establish The Rhode Farm Stand. His passions were collecting old coins, vinyl records, antique cars and Star Wars memorabilia. He was a very talented artist, and this is evidenced by the beauty of his wildflower gardens and landscaping. He loved spending time with his children who were his pride and joy, and their conversations were endless.      

Rick is survived by his mother Julia Rhode; siblings Ruth Siebers, Julia Murray, Lori Rhode and Michael Rhode; children Ridley Rhode, Aldon Rhode, Bennett Rhode and Finn Rhode and many nieces and nephews. 

He was preceded in death by his father Leslie Rhode; grandparents Richard and Ella Rhode, Odilon and Julia Flores. 

Rick has touched many lives and was deeply loved by his family and friends. We ask that you join us in celebrating Rick’s life as a beloved son, loving father, brother and friend.

Visitation will be held on Friday, September 22, 2023 from 3:00 until 5:00 p.m. at Leikness Funeral Home, 358 S. Oxford St, Wautoma and on Saturday, September 23rd from 10:00 a.m. until the time of funeral service at 11:00 a.m. Burial will be at Dakota Cemetery (South) W9645 County Road JJ, Wautoma.
