Ricky Collier 62 of Columbus, Georgia died Monday, November 03, 2025 at his residence.
A Celebration of Life service will be held 2:00 PM Saturday, November 8, 2025 in the Chapel of McMullen Funeral Home and Crematory. The family will receive friends following the services at the funeral home. A private interment will be held in Parkhill Cemetery.
Ricky Collier was a man of many talents—someone who could create beauty out of anything he touched. Whether it was painting a picture, building a table, or turning something discarded into something new, his hands and imagination worked wonders. He wasn’t always one to express himself easily with words, but when he picked up a pen, his thoughts flowed with a beauty and honesty that reflected the heart behind them.
Ricky loved the simple things in life—fishing, hunting, and being outdoors. He was happiest surrounded by nature and the people he loved. He had a way of finding joy in the ordinary and seeing potential in what others might overlook.
He was the oldest son to his parents, Richard and Carolyn Collier, and the oldest brother to his younger sisters, Elizabeth and Laura, and brother, Cecil. He was a father to Tiffany and Brittany, a grandfather to Kayleigh, Kennedy, and Madison, and a beloved uncle and friend to many. To those who knew him, he was a storyteller, a teaser, and a loyal friend. His quick humor and knack for exaggerating a good story—especially about catching the “biggest fish”—will be deeply missed.
Ricky was a simple man with a heart of gold. When life brought him challenges, he faced them with quiet strength and gratitude for each new day. Though his time here ended far too soon, Ricky’s faith was steady. He loved the Lord and had peace knowing where he would go when his time came. He leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, and a reminder to find beauty in the broken things.
He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him, but we rest knowing he is whole and at peace in Heaven. We love you, Ricky Raccoon!
