Richard Roby

Mr. Richard Roby, age 78, of Mt. Washington, Kentucky, returned to his Heavenly Father Thursday, May 22, 2025. Mr. Roby was born on April 24,1947, in West Point, KY to the late Wilson and Mary "Warren" Roby. Richard loved spending time with his family and friends. He was a loving Husband, Father, and Grandfather to them. Richard served in the United States Army; he took great pride in serving his country. He enjoyed building and collecting guns, this was his favorite past time. Next to his beautiful wife he leaves behind his fur babies, Little Bit, Patience, Pounce and Puffin. He will be missed by everyone that knew him.
He was preceded in death by his parents. He leaves to cherish his memory his loving wife, Dana Roby; children, Byron Roby (Jackie), Bruce Pawley (Chrissy), Misty Roby and Candace Dugan; grandchildren, Michael, Hailey, Zach, Mary Lynn, Loreleigh, Ava and Cory; great grandson, Brigham; siblings, Shirley Thurman and Evie Harvey; and a host of other family and friends.
Funeral service will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 29, 2025, in the chapel of Schoppenhorst, Underwood and Brooks Funeral Home- Mt. Washington (123 Winning Colors Dr.) Burial will take place on Friday, May 30, 2025, at 9:30 a.m. at Kentucky Veterans Cemetery Central. Friends and family may pay their respects on Wednesday, May 28, 2025 from 2 p.m. until 8 p.m. and on Thursday from 9 a.m. until the time of the service at the funeral home.
