Richard Rodriguez Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Castle Ridge Mortuary - North on Dec. 17, 2025.
Richard David-Renea Rodriguez, known affectionately as Ricky to his friends and family, passed away on December 9, 2025, at the age of 18. Born on December 14, 2006, in San Antonio, Texas, Ricky's vibrant spirit and creative soul made an indelible mark on the hearts of all who knew him. He remained a proud resident of San Antonio throughout his life, and it is there that he took his final breath, surrounded by the love of his family.
Ricky was the cherished son of Ashley Rodriguez and Jason Wright, and the beloved stepson of Shantelle Williams. Richard's legacy of love and laughter will be carried on by his brothers, Latrell, Ashton, Gabe, Gavin, and Garet. Ricky's family was the cornerstone of his life--he cherished every moment with his grandparents, cousins, aunts and uncles.
A student of Northwest Vista College, Ricky pursued a degree in criminology and hoped to one day become an attorney. His life was rich with creativity and passion. Ricky's love for fashion and design led him to the runway, where he recently modeled in Fashion For Life "Purple Reign Legacy Fashion Show", bringing his unique style and charisma to show.
Beyond the glitz of fashion shows, Ricky was also a talented musician. His ability to write and perform music brought joy to those lucky enough to hear his songs. He had a knack for storytelling through his lyrics, which often reflected his humorous and spirited nature.
Ricky's creativity extended into the kitchen, where he found joy in cooking for his family and he brought his flair for design to every meal he prepared. Ricky's love for his pets, a cat, and dogs, was evident in the gentle care and affection he showed them. They were his loyal companions, and their presence brought him immense comfort and happiness.
Friends and family will remember Ricky as a funny, creative, and spirited soul. He had the rare ability to light up a room with his humor and to inspire others with his boundless creativity. His spirit was a beacon of positivity that could turn the mundane into the extraordinary.
Ricky lived his life with purpose and passion, and though his days were shorter than we hoped, they were undoubtedly well spent. Ricky's departure leaves a void in the tapestry of our lives, but his memory will forever be woven into our hearts. His laughter, his music, and his creative spirit will continue to inspire us. As we say goodbye to Ricky, we celebrate the remarkable life he lived and the countless ways he enriched our world. He will be deeply missed, but his legacy will live on in the stories we share and the memories we cherish.
