Richard "Rich" Douglas Ronan, a beloved brother, uncle, and cherished friend, passed away peacefully in his sleep on January 18th, 2025 in West Jordan, Utah. He was 74 years old.
Born on June 20th, 1950, in Salt Lake City, Utah, Rich was the son of Miland and Norma Ronan. A hardworking and dedicated man, Rich spent his career in the construction industry, where his skill and craftsmanship left a lasting mark on every project he touched.
Rich valued the simple joys of life. He had a remarkable ability to find happiness in everyday moments - you'd often find him relaxing in his recliner, enjoying a quiet evening to himself, or indulging in a sweet treat (particularly Fat Boys).
Rich found immense joy in the friendships he had throughout his life. He enjoyed playing baseball with his close friend Eric Adelt and cherished the time he spent golfing, bowling, and fishing with his best friend, Gary Adelt. Because of those friendships, Rich remained close with Eric and Gary's family - particularly with their sister, Janet, and her four children, who became a meaningful and loving part of his life.
Rich is preceded in death by his beloved parents, Miland and Norma Ronan. He is also preceded in death by his cherished close friends, Eric, Gary, and Janet, who were like family to him. Rich is survived by his brother Craig (Alice) Ronan, Sister Marilyn Nolan, niece Candace, and nephews Brandon (aka Buzz), Adam, and Michael. He is also survived by Janet's family, who loved and cared for him immensely: Lisa (Pat) Murphy, Colleen (Keith) Stacks, Ron Hawker, Bryan (Pauline) Hawker. We love you, Rich!!
