Richard Marc Salomon

It is with great sorrow that we share the passing of Rick Salomon, who died on August 15, 2024, after suffering a heart attack while working outside on his farm in Sparta, Tenn. Rick was born on August 19, 1953, to William and Joan Salomon in New York. He attended Kenyon College where he played football and lacrosse. He married the love of his life Janet in 1975 and was married for almost 49 years. Together, they welcomed five sons.
Rick devoted his career to faithful and selfless service of our country from 1984 to 2010 in the FBI. An expert in counter terrorism finance, he was also a graduate of the National War College in Washington, DC. He was a true patriot, who will be remembered for his love of God, family and the principles of American Liberty.
Rick enjoyed sharing his love of sports with his sons and grandchildren. Rick was always the first to crack a joke and make everyone around him smile. His vast intellect and passion for life, wisdom, and selfless love will be missed.
He is survived by his loving wife Janet (Nowicki); brother Bob (Evelyn), sister Barbara (Lou); sons Dustin, Nicolas, Benjamin, Michael (Kelly), and Peter (Hannah); and grandchildren Dominic, Victor, Louis, Elsie, and Juliana.
A memorial of Rick's life will take place on Saturday, August 24, at 1:00 pm at Oak Lawn Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Sparta, Tenn. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC).
