Richard Scott Schneider, of Wright City, MO, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, May 27th, 2025, at the age of 63.
Richard was the devoted husband of six years to Donna Schneider and the loving father of Zachary (Stephanie) Schneider. He cherished his bond with his stepchildren Amanda Egli, Shawn Willyard, Rhiannon Sigmund, and Alan Willyard, as well as his godchildren, Josh Alber and Kency Alber.
The light of his life were his grandchildren Briar and Evangeline Schneider; Bee and Makayla Day, Coltyn and Landon Willyard; Jaymie Sigmund and Jack Persefield; Aaliyah Willyard; and Adaline Alber. He was the loving brother to Dennis Schneider, Beverly Fetterolf, and Mark Schneider, as well as those he considered brothers and sisters: God son Jay Schaffner, Darcy Alber, Scott Carpenter, and Corey Hendricks. He is also survived by many family - cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends - that he deeply loved.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Arthur and Frieda Schneider and his siblings, Lisa Schneider, David Schnieder, Gail Carpenter, and Alan Schneider.
Rich attended Francis Howell High School and spent the bulk of his career in the landscaping and transportation industries. His true passion was music, where he played drums and guitar as part of many bands over the years that allowed him to share his joy and love with as many who would listen.
Richard enjoyed nature and animals, his Blues and Cardinals, and riding through the breeze on his Harley. He touched many people's lives - always available to listen, to offer help and support, and care wherever he could. Those close to him knew that no matter what - if they needed him - he was there for them.
