Richard Joseph Sciarrone

Richard Joseph Sciarrone, of Bradenton, Florida, formerly of Smithtown, New York, passed away on September 6, 2025. He was 81 years old. He proudly served in the United States Navy during the Vietnam Era and later as an officer with the New York City Police Department for 20 years. Richard proudly married Jackie Kent in 1970, they would have celebrated their 55th wedding anniversary in October. Richard was an avid golfer, hitting a hole-in-one during one of his many days on the course. He enjoyed spending time on the water whether on his boat or watching the sunset with his wife. He is survived by his devoted wife, his sons, Richard Jr. and Lawrence, their wives Theresa and Jessica, and his granddaughters, Alexis and Emily.
A Funeral Service with Military Honors will be held on Wednesday, September 10, 2025, at 12 PM at Brown & Sons Funeral Homes & Crematory, 43rd Street Chapel, 604 43rd Street West, Bradenton, FL 34209.
Private Ceremonies will take place, and Richard will be laid to rest at Sarasota National Cemetery.
