Richard Wesley Seyfried, Sr.
August 10, 1952 to September 1, 2025
Richard Wesley Seyfried, Sr., beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend, passed away surrounded by family on September 1, 2025.
Rick was born on August 10, 1952 to Lloyd John Seyfried and Amy Geraldine "Gerry" Moored Seyfried and grew up in Ann Arbor, Michigan.
After graduating, Rick proudly served his country in the United States Air Force from 1972 to 1976. He returned to Ann Arbor, where he worked at A & L from 1976 to 1979 before beginning a long and dedicated career at Gelman Sciences, which was later Pall Corporation. Rick worked in Maintenance from 1979 until his retirement in 2019, earning the respect and friendship of his colleagues.
In 1990, Rick moved to
Pensacola, Florida with his work. It was there, in 1991, that he married the love of his life, Ann Marie (Wilson) Seyfried. They shared 34 wonderful years together, celebrating their anniversary on August 25th.
Rick is survived by his devoted wife, Ann Marie; his children, Richard Wesley Seyfried, Jr. (Jamie Lynn Pescia) of Farmington, MI, Heather Michelle Seyfried of Anaconda, MT, and Zachary John Seyfried of
Pensacola, FL; and his cherished grandsons, Roy Richard King and Gavin Laine King. He is also survived by his siblings, John Seyfried (Terri) of Cement City, MI, Jean Folske of Ann Arbor, MI, and Marty Seyfried (Laura) of Charlevoix, MI.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Lloyd and Gerry, and brother-in-law, Brian Folske.
Beyond his career and service, Rick was a man of many passions. He loved building Legos, working on puzzles, and had a lifelong passion for sleek sports cars. His kindness, quiet humor, and love for family will be remembered by all who knew him.
A memorial service will be held on September 3, 2025 from 5pm to 6pm at Faith Chapel Funeral Home North. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 4:00 pm to 5:00 pm at the funeral home.
Rick's life was one marked by love, kindness, and dedication. He will be deeply missed and forever remembered by his family and friends.
