Lori Anne Seyfried

Lori Anne Seyfried, age 70, of Greeley, Colo. peacefully went home to heaven on January 14, 2026, surrounded by the love of her family following a courageous battle with pancreatic cancer.

Lori was born in Denver, Colo. on August 22, 1955 to Robert J. and Anne (Krause) Seyfried. She grew up in rural Roggen, Colo. and graduated from Weld Central High School in Kennesburg. She went on to attend the University of Northern Colorado, where she received her Bachelor's of Science, Nursing, degree. She graduated with honors and amongst the top of her class and became a Registered Nurse following graduation.

Lori began her medical career as a Respiratory Therapist. She was an accomplished R.N. with extensive time spent in the Emergency Room, Intensive Care Unit, and Home Health Care fields. Lori was proud to follow in the footsteps of her late grandmother who was also a Registered Nurse.

Early in adulthood, Lori enjoyed entertaining, attending theater events, skiing, scuba diving and cooking. She loved creating gourmet meals, preparing elaborate dinners, and sharing them with the people she loved. No recipe was too complicated or too much for her to take on.

In her retirement, Lori returned to a childhood passion of riding horses through barrel racing and later, reining horses. She was reserve state champion in barrel racing, and her reining horses, Barbie and Jooster, both won multiple class and circuit championships with their trainer Chuck Nesmith. Lori loved spending time at the barn with her horses, and traveling to equine shows as long as her health allowed her to.

Lori's greatest love and legacy in her life was that of being "Raga" to her grandchildren and great-granddaughter. When asked what being Raga meant to them, her grandchildren said it meant someone who is always cheerful, extremely caring, who was always making sure others are taken care of. All of her grandkids talked about her placing everyone else before herself and showing a love far greater than words could ever explain -she always knew just what you needed, before you could ask. She had an amazing heart, and always went above and beyond to make every family gathering - be it a holiday, birthday, or just an informal get-together, not just special, but amazing. Family celebrations were always immaculately planned with themes which included amazing decorations, specific foods, personalized colors, cakes and meals catered to the person of honor. Being Raga meant her grandchildren's childhoods were filled with adventure, magic, unforgettable memories and indescribable love. There is, and will always be only one Raga, and her family was blessed beyond measure to receive such a gift.

Lori's other great love in her life was her pets, which she loved to her very core. Her pets were as much a member of the family as any person, and were treated as such. She lovingly nursed numerous tiny kittens and puppies into health, saving them from uncertain fates, and giving them comfortable lives filled with love. She had a special fondness for Great Danes, and certainly had a joyous celebration when reunited with Aspen and Arrow, her beloved Great Danes. She passed her love for animals to those around her without hesitation.

Lori is survived by her partner in life, Chuck Nesmith; daughters Paula (Kasey) Gutierrez and Tracy (Robert) Howey; five grandchildren: Jordan Morgan, Jackson Morgan, Alayna Morgan, Drew Gutierrez and Deanna Howey; and great-granddaughter, Summer Morgan. Lori will also be greatly missed by her fur babies, Heidi and Mac. She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Anne Seyfried.

In lieu of flowers or cards, donations may be made in Lori's name to Big Bones Canine Rescue or your favorite animal charity. Private family services were held.
