Richard Lynn Sparks, age 66, of Streetsboro, passed away on Thursday October 24, 2024. He was born on August 21, 1958 in Lexington, Kentucky to the late Charlie and Emma L. (Arvin) Sparks. Richard retired as a quality control inspector. He was a member of New Apostolic Church in Stow. He was a crafter, loved to paint, and liked to go fishing and spending time with family.
Richard is survived by his loving wife of 27 years Faye Sparks (Shaffer) of the home; children Amanda (Matthew) Turner of Olive Branch, Mississippi, Richard "Chris" Sparks of the home; grandson Benjamin Turner; granddaughter Jenna Turner; sisters Crystal (Dave) Pierson, Naomi "Jean" Angel, Dixie (Earl) Stapleton; sister-in-law Frances (Jerry) Swaney; and other relatives and friends; and 4 legged babies Sam, Rozy, Zoey and Lizzy.
He was preceded in death by his 3 brothers Hebert Sparks, Russell Sparks, Everett Sparks; sisters June Snowden and Wanda Allen; and brothers-in-law Jimmy Angel and Bernard "Bernie" Shaffer.
Visitation will be held Tuesday October 29th from 10 AM- 12 noon at New Apostolic Church, 3541 Elm St., Stow with funeral services beginning promptly at 12 noon. Final resting place is Standing Rock Cemetery in Kent.
