Richard worked for the United States Postal Service in a variety of positions for 38 years, including Director of Finance and Postmaster in both Rochester, Michigan and Pontiac, Michigan. He retired in 2000.
Richard and Gail raised their family in Ferndale, Clawson and Royal Oak. They loved to travel and enjoyed their condo at Shanty Creek in Bellaire Michigan for many years. They adored their grandchildren and enjoyed spending quality time with them.
Richard loved golf, caring for his rose garden and his 1964 Chevrolet Corvair Spyder convertible that he shared with his son since 2000. He was also a fan of the Detroit sports teams and the Michigan Wolverines. Richard will best be known for his love of music, reading, photography, sarcastic sense of humor, commitment to family, devout faith and love for Jesus Christ.
