Swain Funeral Home - BaxleyRichard Hale Stark, age 71, of Baxley, passed away on Monday, August 4, 2025 in Jacksonville, Florida.
Mr. Stark was born on December 21, 1953 to the late Luther Milton Stark and the late Lula Florence Thompson. He was a veteran of the U. S. Navy and was an avid fisherman and loved to attend Christian concerts. His two greatest joys in this world were his family, especially his grandchildren and spreading the gospel of Jesus Christ. Mr. Stark was a member of Celebration Family Church. He was preceded in death by his wife, Connie Stark, sister, Julie Buckner, and brother, Doug Stark.
Survivors include his daughters, Jennifer Stark and Christina Fedrick both of Baxley; son, Zebulun Stark of Nicholls; sisters, Becky Thompson and Arelene Underwood both of Kentucky and Sandy Hegman of Michigan and brother, Bob Stark of Kentucky. Five grandchildren also survive.
Funeral services will be held Friday, August 8, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. from the Chapel of Swain Funeral Home with Pastor Robbie Tomberlin officiating.
Pallbearers will be Nathaniel Linn, Kyle Reynolds, Robbie Tomberlin, Joe Reading, Keith Wiggins, and Larry Whitley.
A visitation will be held one hour prior to the time of the service.
Interment will follow in Big Creek Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery.
Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Swain Funeral Home.
