Richard A. Stritzinger, age 55, of Erie, passed away on Saturday, January 18, 2025 following a short illness. He was born in Erie on July 29, 1969, son of Joyce Stritzinger and the late Thomas Stritzinger.

Rick was a 1987 graduate of Harborcreek High School and received an Associate Degree from Mercyhurst North East Campus in Computer Science. Rick first worked at Flex-Y-Plan, Dana Brake Parts, General Electric, FedEx and then Parker Hannifin. He was a local musician and was a drummer with many local rock bands. When he was not playing, he was a huge supporter of local musicians. Rick was also an avid fan of the San Francisco 49'ers and the Atlanta Braves. He enjoyed watching Star Wars and boating with his family and friends.

In addition to his mother, Rick is survived by his wife, Cindy Stritzinger; two daughters, Tori Stritzinger and Abby Stritzinger; two brothers, Jeff Stritzinger (Peggy) and Steve Stritzinger (Jessica), and a large extended family of in-laws, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and close friends.

Family and friends will be received at the Dusckas Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc, 2607 Buffalo Rd., on Friday, January 24th, from 3 to 7 pm and are invited to attend a Memorial Mass at St. Luke R.C. Church, 421 E. 38th St, on Saturday, January 25th at 10 am. Memorial contributions may be made to Rick's family through the funeral home or to a charity of one's choice.
