It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Dean "Dino" Falletta, who departed this life on Monday, November 3, 2025 at Saint Vincent Health Center. He was 71 years of age, born in Erie on May 22, 1954, he remained a lifelong Erieite.
Dean graduated from Strong Vincent High School and he was a proud graduate of Slippery Rock College, where he earned his Bachelor's Degree. He was employed at the Manufacturer and Business Association of Erie, alongside his boss and lifelong friend, Ralph Pontillo. Dean was cherished by his family, his coworkers at the Manufacturer and Business Association of Erie, his many friends at Dufford Terrace Apartments, where he lived, and the friends and caregivers at Life Northwest of Pennsylvania.
Dean was the beloved son of Ralph and Eleanor Kaliszewski Falletta, and brother to James A. Falletta. He also leaves behind cousins, John J. Kaliszewski (Mary Alice) of Erie, Nancy J. Guth of Bellevue, WA, Bridget Watson of Las Vegas, NV, Sylvia McNerney of Erie, Jeff Kaliszewski of Erie and Jim Kaliszewski of NC.
Dean will be remembered for his warmth, integrity and the quiet strength he brought to those around him. Dean was an avid spectator of all sports. If you wanted to know a score from a game in the past, just ask Dean! His legacy lives on in the hearts of all who knew him.
Friends and family are invited to attend a Memorial Mass at St. James R.C. Church, 2635 Buffalo Road, on Friday, November 7th, at 10:30 am. A private interment will be held at St. Gregory Cemetery.
