Francis Salvatore Bruno

Francis "Frankie" Salvatore Bruno, III, 52, of Erie, passed away Wednesday, November 12, 2025 at Allegheny General Hospital with his family by his side. He was born November 9, 1973, in Erie, a son of the late Francis S. Bruno, II and Carol Ann Nestor Bruno.

A proud graduate of Strong Vincent High School, Class of 1992, Frankie was a member of the State Championship-winning football team. After graduation, he worked at Warren Company and later for Home Depot.

An avid outdoors-man, Frankie found joy in fishing, ice fishing, and camping. He loved spending time with his family and friends, whether it was a fish fry, swimming with the kids, or just hanging out Frankie was always the life of the party.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Anthony Bruno.

He is survived by his fiancée, Shelly Sokolowski; brother, Todd Bruno (Janna); two sisters, Erica and Viktorya Bruno; nephews, Shaun and Trevor Bruno; and two nieces, Kaitlyn and Kylie Bruno. He is also survived by his sister-in-law, Lena Bruno; mother-in-law, Sylvia Sokolowski; and close friends, Armand Leone, Chris Clement, Doug Torrance, and goddaughter, Amber Torrance. He is further survived by his beloved pets, Gracie Mae and Gizmo.

Friends are invited to call on Tuesday at the John R. Orlando Funeral Home, Inc., 2122 Raspberry Street, from 3:00 until the time of the Funeral Service there at 7:00 p.m.
