Anthony J. Oblinski, age 72, of McKean, passed away peacefully Monday, November 10, 2025 at his residence. He was born June 10, 1953, in Erie, a son of the late Mitchell and Ann (Kosienski) Oblinski.Tony was a graduate of McDowell High School, after which he honed his exceptional skills as a machinist, dedicating his career to the manufacturing industry at AMSCO/STERIS and later at Kold-Draft.
In addition to his professional pursuits, Tony was known for his remarkable handyman skills, always ready to lend a hand to anyone in need. His passion for the outdoors shone through in his love of hunting and fishing, pursuits that brought him great joy throughout his life. He was a member of the St. Francis Ushers Club, Engine House 39, and the Gem City Gun Club. For many years, he enjoyed spending time with friends and family while boating at the Presque Isle Marina.Most importantly, Tony was a devoted family man. He shared a beautiful life with his beloved wife, Dodi, and cherished his role as a father to his son AJ. Tony treated all of AJ's friends as his own, imparting warmth and kindness that left an indelible mark on everyone fortunate enough to know him. Later in life, he relished in his new role as Pops to his three grandchildren with whom he enjoyed tractor and four-wheeler rides, fixing things, and taking trips to camp.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Mitchell and David Oblinski.
He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Dolores "Dodi" (Casane) Oblinski; son, AJ Oblinski (Jennifer Douglas); two sisters, Mary Ann Hirsch (Vincent) and Barbara Griffith (John); two sisters-in-law, Louise and Gloria Oblinski; and three grandchildren, Adaline, Ashton, and Airik. He is also survived by many cherished nieces and nephews.
Friends are invited to call on Friday at the John R. Orlando Funeral Home, Inc., 2122 Raspberry Street, from 2:00 to 4:00 and 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. and on Saturday at St Francis Xavier Church, 8880 Main Street, from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the Funeral Mass there at 11:00 a.m.
