Mr. Richard Teckenbrock, age 74 of Smithland, KY passed away Monday, March 4, 2024, at his home surrounded by family.
He was a veteran of the United States Army and member of Paradise Methodist Church. He was an avid coon hunter for many years and loved the ducks and geese on his pond. He was a wood and metal worker and was a retired Local 782 Ironworker.
Born Saturday, December 3, 1949 in Mayfield, KY, he was the son of the late Jesse Teckenbrock and the late Flora (Bohannon) Teckenbrock.
Surviving are his significant other of 58 years, Nancy Teckenbrock of Smithland, KY; son, Judd Teckenbrock wife Crystal of Benton, KY; daughter, Ashley O'Daniel husband Brett of Calvert City, KY; brother, Gary Teckenbrock wife Babbie of Benton, KY; grandchildren, Jesse Bedwell, Gavin O'Daniel, Emma O'Daniel, Novii Davis; and his beloved pets: his dog, Boo and cat, Willow.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Johnny Teckenbrock, Dennis Teckenbrock; and sister, Judy Graham.
There are no services scheduled at this time.

Richard loved babies. When Lane, my grandson, needed someone to hold him while I was at the piano, Richard was the obvious choice. He had the magic touch with him. He would almost always get him to sleep and would hold him for most of the service. Babies sense love and kindness, Richard was both.
