Richard Thompson Obituary
Richard Leslie “Rick” Thompson, age 52 of Ozark, passed away January 21, 2025. He was born July 11, 1972 in Eminence, Missouri, the son of Glenn and Ginger (Maynard) Thompson.
On October 29, 1991, Rick was united in marriage to Melina (Taylor).
Rick was a concrete finisher of construction and was a life long family member of Branco Enterpises. He enjoyed spending time with his family – especially his grandkids. Rick was an avid hunter and loved being outdoors.
Survivors include his wife, Melina Thompson of Ozark; his children, Shawna Whisnant and Chase of Ozark, Breanna Thompson and Ricky Riedle of Ash Grove; and Emma Thompson of Ozark; his grandchildren, Adyn Whisnant and Skyla Whisnant, Courtney Sheets, and Rhett Riedle; his siblings, Allen Thompson and Michelle Thompson; and his other siblings.
Rick was preceded in death by his father; and his stepfather, Gary Wainner.
A funeral service will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 1, 2025 at Adams Funeral Home, Ozark. Cremation will follow. A visitation will be held from 2:00 – 3:00 p.m. immediately before the funeral in the funeral home.
