A celebration of Rick's life will be held beginning at 12:00 p.m. Saturday, October 4, 2025, at the Crazy Horse Saloon in Electra. Cremation arrangements were under the direction of Aulds Funeral Home of Electra.
Rick was born June 22, 1959 in Electra, Texas, to the late Clyde H. Robb and Frances Alyce Jones Robb Tompkins. After the untimely death of Clyde in 1964, Bevie George "Jeep" Tompkins married Frances and adopted her children. He also preceded Rick in death.
He was a 1977 graduate of Electra High School.
Rick and Jody Baker were married March 10, 1981 in Electra, Texas. She preceded him in death on January 17, 2014.
Throughout his life, Rick was a welder. He worked at C.E. Natco from 1997 until 2014 and also worked in the oilfield.
Rick loved hunting and hanging out with his friends and having a good beer. He enjoyed watching Gunsmoke and Bonanza.
Survivors include one son, Jason Keith Hopkins and wife, Nichole of Wichita Falls; two daughters, Stacy Tompkins and husband, Mack Carter of Floral City, Florida and Rachel Tompkins Rex of Wichita Falls; ten grandchildren, Jason Hopkins and wife, Rilynn, Shane Hopkins and wife, Sealeigh, Lakyn Jaimes, Landon James, Harper Hopkins, Alissa Heller, Keely Foster and Isaiah Sauceda, Lance Sanchez, Logan Rex and Dahlia Sanchez; five great-grandchildren; one brother, Charles Roy "Punkin" Robb; two aunts, Peggy Jones Ballard and Toni Jones Smith; one nephew, Randy Robb; and one niece, Karen Brauss.
He was also preceded in death by one brother, Jack Howard Robb; son-in-law, Lance Rex; and niece, Lisa Frank.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials to Electra Cemetery Association, Post Office Box 373, Electra, Texas 76360.

What a grand time we had in this life, right?
I am so glad life chose us to be family and such good friends..it was such an honor to have you in my life, we're such a special breed!
I am gonna miss you so much... I am so happy you are free from pain and discomfort holding you down. I'm glad you didn't walk into that field.
You got it right, you lived by your own rules, and I was more than blessed to know you in this life
Now take flight!
Soar as high as you can, and when the time is right~
I'll see you in 'The Blink of an Eye'...say hello to Jody, Darrell; ALL the others for me, save me a dance and a spot at the table~
