Robert E. “Bob” Doan, age 87, of Electra, Texas passed away on Friday, February 6, 2026, in Hospice of Wichita Falls.
Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, February 11, 2026, at Mt. Olive Cemetery in Bauxite, Arkansas under the direction of Aulds Funeral Home of Electra.
The family will receive friends from 2:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. Sunday, February 8, 2026, at Aulds Funeral Home of Electra.
Bob was born February 22, 1938 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma to the late Clarence E. Doan and Annie Rue Billings Doan.
Bob was the top insurance agent for Prudential Insurance where he was employed for twenty-five years. After his retirement, he started Doan Builders where he was a home builder.
Bob was an accomplished fisherman who enjoyed camping and the outdoors. He was a member of Evangel Temple Assembly of God in Wichita Falls for many years and was instrumental in the Royal Rangers program. Bob and Pat attended First United Methodist Church in Iowa Park for the last fifteen years or more until he was unable to attend church. Bob was a devout Christian and Bible enthusiast.
Survivors include one daughter, Robin Cook and husband, Ray of Iowa Park; two brothers, Jim Doan and wife, Karen of Duncan, Oklahoma and Lowell Doan of Searcy, Arkansas; Pat Doan and son, Hardy Shelnutt of Electra; seven grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandson.
He was also preceded in death by his son, Randal Doan on December 21, 2022 and brother, Mike Doan.
The family suggests memorials to Hospice of Wichita Falls, 4909 Johnson Road, Wichita Falls, Texas 76310.
