Patsy Jean Greenway Canafax, age 86, of Electra, Texas, passed away early Sunday morning, December 21, 2025, in Hospice of Wichita Falls.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Friday, December 26, 2025, at Aulds Funeral Home of Electra with her brother, Rev. Dr. Don Greenway, Pastor of North Side Baptist Church in Abilene, officiating. Interment will follow in Electra Memorial Park under the direction of Aulds Funeral Home of Electra.
The family will receive friends from 9:00 a.m. until service time at Aulds Funeral Home of Electra.
Patsy was born August 2, 1939 in Colbert, Oklahoma to the late Johnny B. Brown and Evie Jane May Brown.
She graduated from Electra High School in 1957. Patsy worked for Electra Independent School District as an Administrative Assistant in the Administration Office, retiring after thirty-five years.
Patsy married Robert Lee “Bob” Canafax on December 26, 1988 in Electra, Texas. He preceded her in death on August 26, 2002.
Yardwork, gardening and crocheting were her favorite things to do when she was not working. Patsy was a great cook, especially making an excellent potato salad which several family members often requested over a birthday cake.
She was always kind to anyone she encountered. Patsy’s sweet and loving spirit will be missed by all who knew her.
Survivors include her son, Jamey Pulliam of Electra; one brother, Dr. Don Greenway and wife, Shirley of Abilene; one sister-in-law, Glenda Greenway of Abilene; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was also preceded in death by one brother, Bo Greenway; and a sister-in-law, Bernice Greenway.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials to Electra High School Alumni Association, P.O. Box 1129, Electra, Texas 76360, the Humane Society, or any charity supporting breast cancer.
