Mr. Richard "Rick" A. Towle, Sr., age 63 was born on January 18, 1959 in Springfield, Massachusetts to the late Bernice Towle and Lorraine Courchesne.
Rick graduated from Granby High School, Granby MA in 1977. He was self-employed as carpenter for many years. There are very few who had the knowledge and ability Rick possessed. Not only was he sought after for many projects large and small, he made it his mission to give back by taking many under his wings and teaching them his craft.
He was baptized and attended Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church in Grandy, MA. He sought after and loved the Lord. Some may not know he was an undercover blesser. Rick did many small and large things for those who were down on their luck and homeless. It wasn't unusual to see someone panhandling and asking for change to which his response was to give more and not judge. For him, it was not important for others to know what he did. His offerings to others struggling was between he and God. Rick would like us all to follow the bible verse which speaks of doing for the least of us. God stated, "whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me." In as much as he helped others, God wrote those moments great and small in the book of life. It is so heartwarming to know he has gained his wings and God welcomed him with open arms and the words; Well done my good and faithful servant.
Rick loved to work and spend time with his close family and friends. He was very witty and a serial prankster. You would have to wake up very early in the morning to beat him at his own game. He never missed a holiday meal or cookout. He understood the concept of taking time to enjoy and make memories.
Rick has joined the love of his life, Brenda Wrinkle Towle in heaven. He leaves to cherish his memory, family and many friends. He will truly be missed.
