It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Richard Tymrakiewicz on Friday, September 26, 2025 at the age of 65 after a battle with cancer. He was a devoted husband, loving father, cherished grandfather and brother-in-law as well as a great friend; Rich will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

Born on September 10, 1960 in Hamtramck, Michigan. Richard was the son of Adam and Rosemarie Tymrakiewicz who proceeded him in death. Rich married Lori Griesemer on September 6, 1991 and lived and raised their son Nicolas in Troy, where together they built a life filled with love and adventure. He is survived by his wife, Lori; their son Nicolas Tymrakiewicz, daughter-in-law Cheyenne; and grandchildren Nikole and Tanner.

Richard was known for his great passion for Florida and fresh water fishing, deer hunting, and coin collecting. He also enjoyed spending time with his grandkids, Tanner and Nikole, hunting Morel mushrooms at his and Lori's beautiful northern Michigan home. He took a fun trip to Alaska, the last frontier, in August of last year where he and his good buddies fished in Homer for salmon and halibut.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Michigan Sportsmen Against Hunger (sportsmenagainsthunger.org). Please keep Rich's family in your thoughts and prayers.

A future memorial will be planned in June 2026 TBA.

I'm Free

Don't grieve for me, for now I'm free.

I'm following the path God laid for me.

I took His hand when I heard Him call.

I turned around and left it all.

I could not stay another day

to laugh, to love, to work or play

Tasks left undone must stay that way.

I found that place at the close of day.

If my parting has left a void,

then fill it with remembered joy.

A friendship shared, a laugh, a kiss,

Ah, yes these things, I too will miss.

Be not burdened with time of sorrow.

I wish you the sunshine of tomorrow.

My life's been full. I savored much;

good friends, good times, a loved one's touch

Perhaps my time seemed all too brief;

don't lengthen it now with undue grief.

Lift up your heart and share with me.

God wanted me now. He set me free.
