Paul Gregory George, 49, of Rochester, Michigan passed away suddenly on September 19, 2025.
He was born in Flint, MI on April 17, 1976, to V. Rev. Fr. Athanas G. George (Fr. Tom) and Demetra J. George (Jeanne).
He was preceded in death by his father, V. Rev. Fr. Athanas G. George (Fr. Tom) and is survived by his mother, Demetra J. George (Jeanne), his sisters, Rebecca Papas, Christina George and Joanna Hadsell (Jeff), and his beloved nieces and nephews who were his world.
He attended school in Grand Blanc and continued his education at Oakland University, earning a degree in communications. He loved singing in choir and had the opportunity to perform at Carnegie Hall. He was involved in the Kyklos Greek Dance Group for many years, performing at local Greek festivals and events. He loved dancing and had the best times building friendships and memories.
The time he spent with his friends was priceless to him. He loved his friends from The Third Floor Lounge with whom he celebrated Friendsgiving, man-meals and bonfires galore. Paul never met a stranger who didn't become his friend. He always made sure the shyest were included.
His family was everything to him. He roasted the Easter lamb on the spit for his Big Fat Greek Family, always played handyman around the house for his parents, and spent quality time with his nieces and nephews whenever he had the chance. He had a very close bond with his three older sisters who loved and doted on him when he was a baby.
Some of his favorite things were Greek Orthodox church camp, his Meadowbrook Mansion walks, singing, Tiger's baseball, English bulldogs, curling, putting up his Christmas tree too early, and spreading joy by making people laugh at his witty one-liners. He loved to tell jokes and then tell them again...and again. He had a larger-than-life presence and a lasting impact on everyone he met.
He will be remembered for his love, kindness and sweet soul.
