Richard Clyde Wabble, known affectionately by friends and family as Rich, passed away peacefully of natural causes on February 24, 2024 at the age of 87 in Bolton, CT. Born on December 23, 1936, in Hartford, CT, Rich's life was a testament to the enduring power of love, kindness, and friendship.
Rich was the beloved husband of Donna Mae Wabble, with whom he shared a life full of joy and mutual dedication. Together, they raised a family that was Rich's pride and joy. He was a devoted father to Kathleen (Diane), Linda Mongillo (jay), Lisa Nelson (Michael), Nicole (Jeff), Lisa Bushnell (Matt), and Travis (Ginny). Rich's legacy further blossomed with his cherished grandchildren, Christopher, Brandyn, Ryan, Heather, Bradley, Clayton, Rachel, Austin, Emily, and Travis II, and his adored great-grandchildren, Collin, Lucianna, Olivia, Levi, and one more blessing on the way. His family was the center of his universe, and he imparted to them the values of love, compassion, and the importance of strong family ties.
Throughout his working years, Rich was a dedicated employee at Central Pallet. His commitment to his work was matched only by his involvement in his community, where he was known for his friendly demeanor and willingness to lend a helping hand. Rich's colleagues and associates will remember him as a man of integrity and warmth, always ready with a kind word and a smile.
Rich's interests and hobbies were as varied as they were fulfilling. He was a talented woodworker, creating beautiful pieces that reflected both his skill and his patience. His love for bowling and archery spoke of his competitive spirit and his enjoyment of personal challenges. And who could forget Rich's fondness of for scratch tickets? It was one of the simple pleasures that brought a twinkle to his eye.
Those who knew Rich will recall him as a loving, kind, and friendly man. He had the rare ability to make everyone feel welcome and valued, and his presence was a comfort to those around him. Rich's life was one of quiet strength and dignity, and he will be deeply missed by all who were fortunate enough to cross paths with him.
Rich's passing leaves a void in the hearts of his family and friends, but they take solace in the countless memories they have shared. His laughter, his wise counsel, and his unconditional love will continue to guide them. Rich's life was a beautiful tapestry woven with threads of joy, hard work, and the love of those he held dear. As they say goodbye to this remarkable man, his loved ones find peace in knowing that his spirit will live on through the lives he touched.
In celebration of Rich's life, his family will gather to share stories, laughter, and tears - honoring a life well-lived and a man well-loved. Rich's journey on earth may have come to an end, but the impact of his love and the legacy of his kindness will resonate for generations to come. Farewell, Rich. You have left the world a better place, and your light will continue to shine in the hearts of all who knew you.
