Cynthia Ann Robbins Fagan passed away on December 29, 2024. Cindy was born at Hartford Hospital on November 1, 1947, to proud parents Cecilia and Elmer Robbins. While growing up in New Britain, CT Cindy attended St. Joseph's and graduated from New Britain High School. While working at Aetna Property and Casualty Cindy met her future husband and best friend Noel Fagan. The young couple married on July 2, 1966. Following their marriage Cindy and Noel settled in Manchester, CT. Four years later Cindy and Noel purchased their first home in Bolton, CT and welcomed their son Patrick S. Fagan in 1971. During their early years in Bolton, Cindy became a volunteer Fire Fighter proudly serving with the Bolton Fire Department. She went on to become the second female in Bolton Fire Department history to earn her EMT. After moving to her most recent home in Bolton, Cindy went back to Aetna working in information technology until her retirement in 2008.
Cindy was a woman of many talents! She was a proud member (past President) of the Windsor African Violet Society and member (past Secretary) of the New York African Violet Society. As a Champion grower and Senior Judge Cindy enjoyed all aspects of growing violets. Cindy was a dual citizen of Ireland and The United States. She actively enjoyed her lifetime membership at the Irish American Home in Glastonbury, CT. She was a talented seamstress, quilter and knitter. Cindy took pride in creating special gifts for newborns and all other ages. She loved reconnecting with her friends from grade school and those she worked with at Aetna. Cindy had fun with the Bolton Fire Department Auxiliary during breakfast with Santa and the Easter Bunny. When Cindy did take a moment to relax, she and her best pup Tilly took comfort at her vacation home in the beauty of Cornfield Point in Old Saybrook. Old Saybrook was more than relaxation, she was fortunate to have a wonderful group of neighbors and friends to enjoy.
Cindy is survived by her son, Patrick S. Fagan and his wife Cindy J. Links-Fagan, and a treasured grandson Ian R. Fagan, all of Hebron, CT. She is also survived by her sister-in-law Cathi Gallop of Venice, FL and beloved God-Daughter Christina Morra-Tu of Bolton, CT. She is predeceased by her husband Noel and the balance of her immediate family. Funeral services will be held on January 9th, with a Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. James Church, 896 Main Street, Manchester at 10:00am. Burial will immediately follow Mass in St. James Cemetery, 360 Broad Street, Manchester.
