Richard D Warren was called home by his Heavenly Father on September 22, 2025. He departed his earthly home surrounded by family and greeted to his heavenly home by his loving wife, Sherrin, and their daughter, Terri Lynn, a reunion he has long awaited.

Richard was a devoted father, a proud grandfather and great-grandfather, and a dedicated member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.

Richard was born on July 27, 1939, to Albert Merle and Annie Evans Warren. He was the middle of five children and raised in Davis County with his four siblings: Carla, Evan, Stan, and Bert. He was devoted to his career and retired from HAFB with numerous accolades. After retirement, Richard opened R&R Auto with his son Wayne, completing many car repairs and restorations together.

Richard was a talented horseman and a true cowboy, although his daughter Connie smoked him in a horse race on top of Farmington Peak. There wasn't a horse he couldn't break, a vegetable or fruit that he couldn't grow, or a vehicle he couldn't repair.

He spent long days outside with grease on his hands and dirt on his overalls, working tirelessly to support his family. His family was everything to him. He raised his children to work hard, have grit, and respect others. His grandchildren and great-grandchildren were his pride and joy.

Some of the most special moments in his life was working alongside his children and wife on their family farm, repairing vehicles with his son, hunting which one year resulted in him and his daughter Tammy winning the FFA’s Big Buck Contest and taking home the grand prize 30-30 rifle, teasing his sons-in-law Marty and Clint, taking his granddaughters on horse rides, fishing with his grandsons, whittling items for his grandchildren, sitting on the back porch cutting an apple from one of his trees or eating a fresh tomato straight from his garden while sharing stories of his young, wild days, pulling grandkids on an innertube behind the 4-wheeler while irrigating, and most recently baking pies with his daughter Sherrie (a special tribute to his late wife). He loved going on drives, reveling in Heavenly Father's beautiful creations. Just weeks before his passing, he enjoyed a day ride with his grandson Tyler, going fast on the RZR, going down trails, and doing donuts.

Richard was proceeded in death by his wife Sherrin, daughter Terri, his parents, brothers Evan and Stan, and great grandson Rome.

He is survived by his daughters Tammy Chatwin, Sherrie (Marty) Mobley, Connie (Clint) Lowe, his son Wayne (Johna) Warren, 11 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren with one more to be born any day, sister Carla Turner, brother Bert (Chris) Warren.

Dad/Gramps/GGpa, you will be missed beyond measure, but our hearts are at peace knowing the glorious reunion you are currently having. We love you.

Graveside services will be held on Friday, September 26, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at Syracuse City Cemetery 1250 South 1000 West, Syracuse UT. Friends may visit with family prior to service on Friday from 9:00 to 10:15 a.m. at the Wilcox Meadow Ward, 700 South 2500 West, Syracuse UT.
