Richard F. Wayne aka "Duke" age 80 passed away suddenly on June 23, 2024. Beloved husband of Joanne (nee Parsh) of 41 years. Son of the late John and Mary Wayne. Loving father of Ronna A. (Robert) Priscak and Richard F. (Lisa) Wayne, Jr. Cherished grandfather to Rob (Amanda), Tim, Steven (deceased), and Erica. Great grandfather to Lincoln Priscak. Brother of John (deceased), William (deceased), Ron (Vyn), Francis (deceased) (wife Sandy) and Brenda Lennox (Gary deceased). Loved by many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends.
Rich proudly served in the United States Army and on the Cleveland Police force as dispatcher, worked with the K-9 Unit, was promoted to detective and received the Silver Shield.
He retired from the Police force in 1990 after suffering a stroke. He and his wife, Joanne then retired to Port Charlotte, Florida from 1993-2001 to enjoy the sunshine and get away from the Cleveland weather. Family and friends visited often, enjoying their beautiful home and pool while making fun memories!
He loved Doo Wop music and enjoyed many activates with his brothers and friends such as fishing, darts, and bowling. The family gathered often to play Pinochle and get together. Through the years he enjoyed collecting records and rock n roll memorabilia and playing games on the computer.
His memory is now our keepsake. God has him in His keeping, we have him in our hearts. Sadly missed, but never forgotten!

Richard was my beloved brother in law married to my twin Joanne. My son and I use to visit with him and my sister quite often. We enjoyed the pool in Florida. He will be missed. My thoughts and prayers and love is with my twin sister.
