DATELINE: KINGS MOUNTAIN, NORTH CAROLINA

Richard Morrow White

Richard Morrow White, 78, of Kings Mountain, NC, passed away peacefully on August 13, 2025, at the Testa Family Hospice House in Kings Mountain. Born on January 5, 1947, in Cleveland, NC, he was the son of the late Frank and Grace Ledford White. Richard was a devoted member of Bethlehem Baptist Church for many years, demonstrating his strong faith and commitment to his community. An avid golfer, he cherished playing alongside the Cleveland County Senior Men's Golf Association, where he found joy in both the sport and camaraderie. His service in the United States Army reflected his dedication to his country, and his professional life included a successful career as a machinist at EATON and as a skilled brick mason. Richard’s talents and hardworking nature made him a wonderful provider and a beloved husband and friend. Throughout his life, he touched the hearts of many and will be remembered for his warmth, generosity, and joyful spirit. His legacy will continue to live on in the memories of all who knew and loved him.

SURVIVORS: Wife of 55 years: Susan Lowery White, of the home

Sisters: Lynn Collins and husband David, Gastonia, NC and Vickie White (Bob Glenn), Durham, NC

GRAVESIDE SERVICE: Saturday, August 16, 2025 at 10:00 AM at Bethlehem Baptist Church Cemetery with Reverend Dr. Steve Taylor officiating. The family will speak with friends following the service in the cemetery.

INTERMENT: Bethlehem Baptist Church Cemetery, Kings Mountain, NC
