Richard "Ricky" Warren Whitlow, Jr., 63, of Armstrong, IL, passed away at 8:27 P.M. Sunday, October 12, 2025, at Carle Foundation Hospital in Urbana, IL. He was born May 15, 1962, in Glasgow, KY, the son of Richard E. and Ernestine (Cook) Whitlow Sr. He married Marsha Schultz on March 5, 2008, in Okaloosa Island, FL. She survives in Armstrong, IL.
He is also survived by two daughters, Cathy (Cory) Young of Armstrong, IL and Shauna Whitlow of Wellington, IL; three sons, Stanley (Nicole) Schultz of Rantoul, IL, Shane Schultz of Remington, IN, and Steven Schultz of Danville, IL; two sisters, Jo Marie Segura of Campbellsville, KY and Lova (Jerry) Kies of Spokane, WA; two brothers, Ronnie (Tammy) Whitlow of Gibson City, IL and Donnie (Jodi) Whitlow of Potomac, IL; 22 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Ricky worked at Brutlag Livestock for 33 years where he enjoyed working with his boss and life-long friend, Donald McCorkle. He was known for his contagious laugh and never knew a stranger. Ricky was also known for all the hogs he cooked and was a jack-of-all-trades as people often brought him projects as he could fix anything. Cremation rites will be accorded. A celebration of life will be held at 12:00 P.M. Saturday, November 15, 2025, at the Potomac Community Center, 310 W. State St, Potomac, IL.
