Richard Wiegand, age 60, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his loving family on Saturday, March 16, 2024. He was the beloved son of Janet and the late Royce Wiegand (nee Pingree). Richard was a dear brother to Marcia (Chris) Trueb and a loving uncle to Evan & Sarah Trueb. He also held the special role of godfather to Sarah. Dear Grandson, Nephew, Cousin & friend to many.
Known affectionately as Uncle Rich by his friends in Goose Creek, Richard had a deep connection to his property there. He cherished the great outdoors, finding joy in camping, boating, and gathering around campfires. His love for grilling brought family and friends together, creating lasting memories.
Just a week ago, Richard celebrated his 60th birthday with a gathering of loved ones. The warmth of their presence filled the air as they shared stories, laughter, and love.
Richard's loyal companion, Remi, his beloved dog, was by his side throughout life's adventures. Remi brought comfort, companionship, and unwavering loyalty.
In honoring Richard's memory, we celebrate a life well-lived, filled with love, laughter, and cherished moments. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
Visitation, Wednesday, March 20, 2024, 4pm-8pm, at Hutchens-Stygar Funeral & Cremation Center, 5987 Mid Rivers Mall Drive, St. Charles, MO 63304. Funeral Service, Thursday, March 21, 2024, 10:00am. Interment to follow at Eternal Peace Cemetery, Wentzville, MO.
