Steven Donald Greiner, 71, passed away on September 7th , 2025. Steve was born in St. Louis on November 14 th , 1953 to Beverly (Missey) and Don Greiner. The oldest of 5 children, he grew up
in St. Louis with his brothers and sister: Max (Penny), Kurt, Donna (Glenn Donaldson), and Chris (Kristin).

Steve attended Southwest High School in St. Louis. He graduated from St. Louis Christian College, where he studied and trained for Christian ministry, followed by a Master's of Divinity from Lincoln Christian Seminary. Steve was a practicing minister for nearly 50 years, leading congregations at multiple locations including Columbus, IL, Mt. Carmel, IL, St. Louis, MO, and Olney, IL. Steve led with wisdom, honesty, bravery, and empathy for the marginalized and the less fortunate. Unique in his practice, his one-of-a-kind style can be attested to by those he influenced.

Steve married Elaine Fuelling in 1975. Steve and Elaine had 3 children: Michael, Nicholas and Cassidy (Ludwig). His family grew to include daughter-in-law Meaghan Ryan and son-in-law Joe Ludwig.

Steve passionately studied his faith, history, rock 'n roll and hockey, passions that he loved sharing with the people around him. His greatest joys were spending time with his many friends and family, especially with his grandsons Joey, Brock and Jaxon.

After 71 years of living life on his terms, he was called home for his heavenly reward. He is survived by his children, his grandsons, his sister and his brothers. He was preceded in death by his brother Kurt. Steve was loved by his numerous nieces and nephews. He will be fondly remembered by countless friends.

A visitation with the family will be held on Friday, September 26 from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 at Christ First Christian Church at 2890 Patterson Road, Florissant, MO, followed by a memorial service at 1:00 p.m. Lunch at the church will follow and is open to everyone.

In lieu of flowers, the Greiner family has suggested donations to a fund that will support ministries near and dear to Steve's heart. Checks can be made out to Glenn Donaldson and brought to the service or mailed to 7529 Little Oaks Drive, O'Fallon, MO 63368. This fund will be used to honor Steve's ministry passion.

As the old saying goes;
"Never judge a book by its cover!"
Our lifetime Pastor, friend, "Jesus lover," lover of people, received his final reward, as he entered Heaven´s gates today.... "Sunday," of all days.

Steve Greiner; our "John the Baptist," for sure. His faith moved mountains, and
his love for people (especially the down-trodden), changed lives.
He was devoted to Christ in all things. A Bible scholar. To hear him preach and pray would change your heart & your life. He served, he obeyed the Lord´s commandments and would be the first to remind you how much Christ loved you....no matter what circumstance you were surviving, (Experienced first hand).
Undeniable character and that
"Greiner charisma." Only ONE.
It is amazing to me, how we can admire a person´s talent and overlook their HUMANITY.....He had both.

My family and grandpa (Luke Perrine), loved him for over 40 years and for the example he was to us all.
Greiner, I sure hope you have on that bandanna when I see you again in heaven....then I will know for sure, it is you.
He loved my brother fiercely and harassed him "Always." He was a "Living Example," of a man that walked with the Master.

Thank you for sharing Jesus with us and sharing the gospel with the world. We love you our brother.
Until we meet again, at Heaven´s Gates!!
In HIM,
Shelby Farris-Krietemeyer Ponder
So glad we were able to visit a year and a half ago, for over an hour at High Hill Christian assembly. The angels chili rejoiced as one of God´s servants came home.
