Richard Yaginuma Obituary

Richard was a 1954 graduate of Mckinley High School. He then attended the University of Hawaii where he earned a bachelor's and teaching degree. He was a retired teacher, who taught social studies at Aiea Intermediate School and was also the former tennis coach at Mckinley High School. He was known as "Coach Yagi" to many.
Richard is survived by his devoted wife Kumiko, daughters Lorraine (Jon) Tsuruda and Lois (Brad) Konishi; grandchildren: Marcus Tsuruda and Kirsten Konishi. Preceded in death by sister Irene Shimoko.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, March 1, 2025 at Olivet Baptist Church. Visitation at 10:00 a.m. Services at 11:00 a.m. Casual attire and no flowers. Private burial at a later date.
