Zahn, Richard George born August 7, 1955 died suddenly December 21, 2024. Beloved husband of Lesley Zahn (nee Hoffman) and loving father to Kurt Zahn. He was the son of the late Sylvester and Louise (nee Eversgerd) Zahn, brother of Cathy (Bruce) Bodine, the late Phil (Sharon) Zahn, Lorraine Zahn, Debbie (Daniel) Smith, Alan (Andrea) Zahn, and the late Tina (Brad) Williams. He was the son-in-law of the late Frank and Pat Hoffman and the brother-in-law to Chris (Mike) Shipman, Bill (Megan) Hoffman, Mark (Portia) Hoffman, Rob (Sharon) Hoffman, John (Kathy) Hoffman and Jeanne (Terry) Logsdon. Rich was an uncle to 21 nieces and nephews and 38 great nieces and nephews (and one on the way).
Rich had numerous passions but especially fishing with various friends and importantly with Mark Huesgen. He was a man who believed in order and everything had its place! Nowhere was that more obvious than in his fishing shed which looked more like a well-stocked fishing mini-store He was meticulous about his vehicles, his boats and his lawn, but nothing made him prouder than his high-school sweetheart and wife of 48 years, Lesley. They enjoyed their lives at the lake and the many, many friends they made wherever they went.
We invite you to join us in celebrating his life at the Elks Lodge 2058, 2242 Mason Lane, Manchester, Mo. 63021 on Saturday, January 11, 2025 from 12pm - 4pm.
There will also be a celebration at the Elks Lodge 2517, 5161 Osage Beach, Mo. 65065 on Saturday, February 15, 2025 from 1 pm - 3 pm.
In lieu of flowers contributions can be made to the American Heart Association.
Arrangements are under the direction of Hedges-Scott-Millard Funeral Homes, 514 Highway 42, Osage Beach, MO 65065 (573) 348-3232. Condolences may be left online for the family at www.hedgesscottmillard.com.
