Warwick - Richela J. "Rikki" Hunter (Woolley), 57, passed away on Monday, February 23, 2026, at Kent Hospital. She was the beloved daughter of the late Richela A. Sweeney.
Richela was a strong, determined, and vibrant presence - much like the Blizzard of 2026 during which she passed. Just like that historic storm, she will never be forgotten.
Born into the restaurant industry, Richela grew up surrounded by the warmth of family and the aroma of home-cooked meals. She began learning the craft of cooking and catering at a very young age from her mother and grandmother, spending much of her adolescence in her family's restaurant, Sweeney's in Providence. It was there that she developed a lifelong passion and true affection for cooking.
Richela used her culinary talents both professionally and as an expression of love. She worked in several Rhode Island restaurants before venturing into private catering, where she created beautiful and memorable dishes for countless events. At home, she was known for hosting wonderfully elaborate gatherings for family and friends. She cooked with love, presenting each dish with elegance and flavor that reflected her generous spirit.
Beyond the kitchen, Richela was known for her impeccable sense of style. She firmly believed that if you look good, you feel good - and she certainly dressed to the nines. She embraced life fully, cooking exquisitely, dressing beautifully, and traveling in style. She especially cherished her vacations in the Bahamas, where she created treasured memories with family and friends.
Though Richela lived boldly and did everything in a grand way, she will be remembered most for the everlasting love she had for her family and friends. Her love, support, dependability, and caring nature touched all who knew her. She was a remarkable woman who will live on in the hearts of those she leaves behind.
She was preceded in death by her loving sister, Cynthia Woolley.
Richela will be deeply missed by her common-law husband, Edward Siravo; her stepdaughter, Kimberly Siravo; and her step-grandson, Joshua. She is also survived by her son, Christopher Brearley, his longtime girlfriend, Justine Keenan, and their son, her beloved grandson, Lucas Brearley; her son, Gennaro Ferrazzano III; her cousins, Donna Harley, Tammy Scott, Heidi Conley, and Matthew Sweeney; and their children, Brian, Sean, Scarlett, Daryl, Grace, Cole, Joshua, and Bella.
Family and friends are invited to attend a Celebration of Richela's Life at Twin Oaks, in its Function Room, on Tuesday, March 10, from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., concluding with a prayer service and shared memories in her honor.
