Richelle D. (Dicey) Bisson, age 53, of Middletown, Delaware passed away surrounded by her family, after a courageous battle with cancer, on Wednesday, June 18, 2025. Richelle was born February 5, 1972 in Wilmington, Delaware. Her parents were Carolyn Blomquist and Richard E. Spicer. After graduating from Wilmington High School in 1990, she earned an Associate's Degree in Early Childhood Education at Delaware Technical and Community College. She was previously employed by The Boys and Girls Club in Middletown, Delaware. She had a love for educating children and began her career teaching preschool students. Over the years, she was involved in children's ministry and also taught many students in the community. She was loved by many children and families while supervising before and after school programs.
In her free time, Richelle enjoyed every moment surrounded by family. She adored her daughters and grandchildren more than anything. Her Christian faith was important, and she used her trials as a testament to glorify God. Richelle is remembered as an amazing mother and grandmother. Her legacy lives on through her family. In addition to her late parents, she was greeted in Heaven by her sister Dotti Jennings and her brother Wayne Blomquist. She is survived by her three daughters, Christina Havens, Julia Havens and Alisha Bisson; grandchildren Jayden, Mariyah, Graylynn and Gunner; her brothers, Jeff Blomquist and Jeremy Blomquist and her sister, Marnie Nathanson, aong with many nieces and nephews. Arrangements have been entrusted into the care of Williams Funeral Home and Burial Services. A viewing will be held on Tuesday, June 24, 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 at Asbury United Methodist Church, 300 East Basin Road, New Castle, Delaware 19720; followed by a funeral service at 11:00 AM. Interment will follow at Gracelawn Memorial Park, New Castle, Delaware.
