Richie E. Lewis of Pittsfield Massachusetts passed away unexpectedly at home on December 22, 2024, at the age of 46. He was a beloved father, son, papa, brother, uncle and friend to many.
Richie is deeply missed by his mother Sharon "Sherry" Ciepiela and stepfather Stephen "Steve" Ciepiela; his father Richard "Rick' Lewis and stepmother Mary "Kate" Lewis; his children Noah Lewis, Jasmyn Lewis, Austin Pettibone and Mackenzie Pettibone; his siblings Regina "Gina" Lewis, Alicia Lewis, Janet Lewis, Paul Lewis, David Lewis, Ben Lewis, Katie-Lynne Powers and John Powers; his grandchildren Summer, Novellah, and Colton. He also leaves behind his nieces Taneya, Jada, Alexis, Talia and Aliyah; his nephews Skylar, Donovan, Justice, Anthony, Kain, and Kayden; as well as many friends and extended family members who cherished him.
Richie was an avid outdoorsman who found joy in hunting, camping, fishing, spending time with his family and watching his favorite team the NY Giants play football. A skilled construction worker for most of his life, Richie had devoted the last few years to serving as a personal care attendant for his beloved Uncle Carey-a role he held with great care and devotion.
Richie's adventurous spirit and love for the outdoors will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew him. May his memory bring comfort to all who mourn his loss.
A celebration of Richie's life will be held on Saturday January 11, 2025, at the Salvation Army located on West Street in Pittsfield. Calling hours will begin at 11am with a service following at 12pm. A gathering to honor his memory will be held in the gym immediately following the service.
