Richsand Abat, born on September 23, 1985, in Launion, Philippines, passed away on January 27, 2026. He dedicated much of his life to serving others as a Dietary Aide at a nursing home where he brought compassion and care to those in need.
Richsand had various hobbies and interests, with a particular fondness for arts and crafts and music.
He is survived by his loving children: Rachelle Jane Abat, Aprille Joy Abat, Erickson Abat, Jason Abat and Janelle. He also leaves behind his siblings: Ivy June Abat, Gladys Abat, Phoebe Abat and Christine Abat. Richsand was the beloved son of Susana Abat and Richard Abat.
A visitation to celebrate Richsand's life will be held on February 7, 2026, at Lawrence Funeral Home located at 4800 N. Austin Ave., Chicago, IL 60630. The gathering will begin at 2:00 PM and conclude at 6:00 PM.
