Rick Alan Gibson, 67, of Shoals Indiana passed away on Tuesday August 26, 2025, at his residence with his family by his side.

He was born on August 19, 1958, to Louis Jr. and Annabell (Divine) Gibson.

Rick was a lifelong farmer who took great pride in working the land and caring for his farm. He tarped and drove semis for Jefferson Trucking for 25 years until his retirement. Rick enjoyed the outdoors, especially fishing and hunting, and he also liked bowling and softball. In his spare time, he enjoyed collecting toy tractors. Most of all he cherished the time spent with his family and friends.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Louis and Annabell Gibson, his sister, Sherry Lee Gibson, and several aunts and uncles.

Rick is survived by his children, Natalie Brooke (Aaron) Hayden, Jenna Lee Gibson, his grandchildren, Cale Gibson, Case Gibson, Myles Hayden, Masen Hayden, Vincent Gibson- Brown, Clayton Gibson -Brown, his sister, Vicky (Randy) Bauernfiend, his nieces, Amanda (Mike) Fischer, Emilee Bauernfiend, 3 Great- nieces, 2 Great – Nephews.

Cremation was chosen according to his wishes. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Shoals Agriculture Class in memory of Rick Gibson.
