Mr. Rick Kelley, age 62, of Covington passed away Tuesday, October 22, 2024. He was born December 5, 1961 in Detroit Michigan. Rick grew up in Detroit and graduated from Western High School. He was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed hunting. Rick was a strong Christian and served as a youth pastor shaping many children's lives throughout the years. Many of those children still stay in touch with Rick on a regular basis. He loved people and together with his wife operated Living in His Image ministry on-line that has been around the World teaching the Bible and sharing the Gospel of the Lord.
Rick was preceded in death by his father Richard Kelley; his mother Betty Rowland; and his sister Judy Kelley. He is survived by his wife Christine Kelley; his children Jeni Perrien (Donnie Cordle, Jr.) of Summerville, GA, Lindsay Kelley-Turco (Nick) of Livonia, Michigan, Brittany Kelley of South Lyon, Michigan, and Dee Kelley-Goldwater of Jefferson, Georgia; his grandchildren Anna, Makayla, T.J., Steven, Owen, Jonathan, Teddy, and Emmett; his God son James Russell of Cartersville; his siblings Ed Kelley (Terry) of Detroit, Teresa Johns (Mike) of Canton, Michigan, Sam Kelley (Serina) of Gainesville, Florida, and Anita Torres of West Branch, Michigan; along with numerous nieces, nephews, other family members, and a host of friends. The family will gather with friends at J.C. Harwell and Son Funeral Home, 2157 East Street, SE, Covington, GA 30014 from 2:00 PM until 4:00 PM on Friday, October 25, 2024.
