Rick L. Lyle, 64, a lifetime resident of Lapeer, passed away on June 19, 2024, with his family by his side. He was born in Lapeer on June 6, 1960. Rick graduated from Lapeer West School. He worked in shipping and receiving at L&L Products in Romeo for almost 29 years. He was an avid bowler and horseshoe player. He met a lot of special friends over the years at Lapeer Lanes and at various bowling and horseshoe tournaments. Rick was especially excited about the world horseshoe tournament that was held in Lansing Michigan in 2023, where he took first place in his class. Rick was typically engaging in one of the following, bowling, playing horseshoes, on his lawn mower, or watching the Detroit Tigers. He will be deeply missed.
Rick is survived by his son Brandon Lyle; daughter Kalie Lyle; grandchildren Kennadie Hampton and Mason Hampton; mother Sandra Lyle; significant other Rebecca Homer; brother Brian (Kristy) Lyle; niece Madison Lyle. He was preceded in death by his father Gordon Lyle and aunt Deanna Boyne.
Friends may visit on Monday, June 24, 20204 from 4-8 p.m. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, June 25, 2024, at 11 a.m. at Lynch & Sons Funeral Directors - Capstick Chapel in Lapeer. A luncheon will immediately follow. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the family.
